Biographical Info
I help bridge science and advocacy to address issues of social justice. A seasoned survey researcher with over 20 years of experience in studying the relationship between people, cannabis, and society, I conducted some of the first studies of medical cannabis patients and the use of cannabis as a harm reduction tool.
Currently, I am the Chief Knowledge Officer at New Frontier Data, the global authority on data, analytics, and business intelligence for the cannabis industry. I lead the research and analysis of the sector's trends, opportunities, and challenges, providing data-driven insights and solutions to investors, operators, policymakers, and consumers. I have a PhD in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley and multiple publications on cannabis policy and social justice issues.
I am also passionate about helping people develop healthy, balanced relationships with psychoactive plants, which I believe have therapeutic, spiritual, and cultural value. I am the Founder of Personal Plants, a platform that offers harm reduction education and guidance on plant-based wellness. I also co-host a web series called The Truth About the Plant, bringing accessible, science backed information to the public about the safe and balanced use of cannabis. Through my work, I aim to inspire curiosity, compassion, and change in the world.
